At Staples I was customer service, so I’d welcome guests and help them find their items and pick out their school supplies that they needed or what office supplies that they needed.

Interviewer:
How would you describe the application and interview process?

Staples Customer Service:
Fill out their application form, hand it in, along with your resume, and then you wait for their call. Then you do their interview. The interview process that I had, it took different levels. So the first level I had with them at a job fair. So the face-to-face preliminary interview process. And after that, I got to go into the office at Dufford and I had a sit-down interview.

What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?

Staples Customer Service:
Basic general questions. My job history, how I feel about working with people. Am I up to date on technology, the technology that they sell there.

Interviewer:
What set you apart from other candidates?

Staples Customer Service:
Confidence and just be myself. I went in there, shook the manager’s hand. I was there, I showed them that I wanted the job.

What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?

Looking for a job at Staples or anywhere, any type of business, just go in there, be yourself, be confident and look like you want the job and hopefully you’ll get it.
