Interviewer:
Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Price Chopper Clerk:
So I was in the front. I don’t know how you call that exactly, but my basic duties were to stock shelves, clean up if there’s any spills, help the customers around if they have any question where the items are, but that’s basically most of it.
Interviewer:
What was the work environment like?
Price Chopper Clerk:
I was hired in with a few people that were new as well. So that helped. And honestly, even the people that worked there for years, they were very helpful. There wasn’t any intimidating vibe or anything.
Interviewer:
How would you describe the application and interview process?
Price Chopper Clerk:
I think they were open for hiring, so I don’t think I really went through this “interview interview”, “Oh, you qualify, we’re going to call you back.” All what I did was go give out my resume. And then I think I came back for orientation and that was basically it. I don’t think there was really a formal interview like any other interview that you formally expect.
Interviewer:
What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Price Chopper Clerk:
Did you work in any supermarket before? That was definitely one of the questions.
Interviewer:
What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Price Chopper Clerk:
If you’re looking more for social interactions, it’s not going to happen. You’re just going to be by yourself for the most of the time, if that’s what you were expecting, I guess, if someone is expecting.
