History
Founded in 1909, Leon’s began as a dry goods company in Welland, ON, Canada. Over the next couple of decades, the retail chain grew and expanded operations. I was front office. What I did, I process billing, any orders that came in. Receptionist duties, answers phone and financing as well. So seeing who got authorized for a credit card, a Leon’s credit card.

What was the work environment like?

It was pretty easy going, very friendly. A lot of students work there in during the year and maybe six or seven full-time people. So mostly everybody was part-time.

How would you describe the application and interview process?

Hiring process. It was it wasn’t very hard. They did a group hiring at first; a group interview at first and then individual callbacks for it. The process itself took only about two weeks or so, for them to call back.
