Well, I was a bus boy, and basically it was washing dishes in the back, making sure that my area’s clean and whatnot, and yeah, just making sure serviettes, everything is in order to go out.

How would you describe the application and interview process?
Keg Steakhouse & Bar Busboy:
Well, first, I filled out an application online and then I gave in my resume at the actual place, because they were just opening at Bramalea City Centre. So yeah, that’s what I went through. And from there, I got a interview. The first interview, they called me back. Second interview was more personal and that showed me I basically got the job.

What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?

They asked me if I was in school. They asked me my previous experiences doing the job or any other job. Basically, I told them what I’ve done before and what experience I have and what I’m taking in school and my availability.

What set you apart from other candidates?

I was very charismatic. I had a great energy. I was a well-mannered. I talked in monotone. I wasn’t really too energetic, but I gave great answers.

What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Keg Steakhouse & Bar Busboy:
Be very, like I said, be charismatic. Come in in a clean, orderly manner because it is a high-skill restaurant. It is higher than… I wouldn’t want to compare it to any other restaurant, but I feel it’s better than most of the restaurants that are out there. And yeah, just be charismatic and be… Make sure you’re cleanly and stuff like that.
